Exam time
Wishing you all the best as you take your exams. A few reminders (because we can't help it...)
- Make sure you get enough sleep
- Take short study breaks to help you refocus
- Eat healthy foods like nuts and apples. Stay away from the energy drinks!
- Motivate yourself. Every day. Write your motivation on a post-it where you can see it.
- Don't get overwhelmed. Even the biggest task can be broken down into smaller ones.
- If things get a bit loud and busy at your house, come study at the library. We have quiet study rooms.
The ideas above were paraphrased from this wonderful blog post. Read it if you have a minute. She has many good suggestions.

Celebrate your freedom to read!
September 25-October 1, 2016 is Banned Books Week.
Each year during this week we celebrate our freedom to read and the value of free access to information.
Check out the list of top 10 challenged books in 2015. Some of them might surprise you.
If you have a few minutes, watch some of the virtual read-out videos. There are celebrity readings and thoughts on censorship. There are also readings by people like you and me.
Follow us on Pinterest and Facebook as we celebrate.

Money Smart Week
April 23-30, 2016 is Money Smart Week
Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2002. It's designed to help consumers better manage their finances.
Here is a link to the resource page.
Also, stop by the library. We have some really good money smart brochures for you. We even have one that includes advice on financing a car.

April 10-16, 2016 is National Library Week
This year's National Library Week theme is Libraries Transform. Libraries are so much more than books on a shelf in a room. Libraries can take you beyond physical boundaries. We live in a digital age. People need technical skills and resources in order to thrive. You can have access to a lot of technology for free at your library, and chances are that there will be classes offered on how to use it.
If you haven't seen our own TecknOWLogy Nest in the Athens Campus library, you should check it out. We have 3-D printers, Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, robots, and so much more. Its purpose is to provide current ATC students, faculty, and staff a safe space to learn and explore these technologies.
Stop by and visit. Celebrate libraries with us.

Check it out!
All these campaign shenanigans making your head spin? You are not alone. We have created a 2016 election guide to help you (and us) try and sort it all out. This guide will be updated on a regular basis.
